Getting around eight to nine hours of sleep a night is essential. It is important to stick to a sleep schedule as well as keeping your phone out of the bedroom. Smartphones can be a big disruption to your sleep, so it is better to keep them away from you when you’re ready to sleep. Here are ten tips to get better sleep at night.

 

  1. Increase bright light exposure during the day.
  2. Have a consistent sleep and wake schedule, even on the weekends.
  3. Create a sleep-conductive bedroom that is dark, quiet, comfortable and cool.
  4. Exercise regularly.
  5. Don’t consume caffeine late in the evening.
  6. Reduce irregular or long daytime naps.
  7. Don’t drink alcohol.
  8. Don’t eat late in the evening.
  9. Take a relaxing bath or shower.
  10. Try to get seven to nine hours of sleep every night.

 

Follow these ten tips to form healthier sleeping patterns at night. If you follow them for at least a week, you will definitely feel the difference. Forming Good sleep habits will have you feeling more energetic and optimistic throughout your day.
