6 Must-Haves for Camping at Northern Nights Music Festival

When you think of the ultimate venue for an EDM concert, you probably think of sleek urban settings with all the modern amenities. Usually, we'd be right there with you. This weekend, though, we're packing up and heading up to the Northern Nights Music Festival where we'll camp underneath the beautiful Redwoods for three days. A little nature is good for the soul every now and then, and if we can squeeze in some chill dance EDM music and a ton of refreshing moments into our camping trip, we're all for it. So with that in mind, we've compiled these six items that you absolutely cannot do without if you're going to this blast of a music festival.

  1. Portable Phone Charger

Even if there's no service where you're headed, you'll still want your phone on full battery for snapping pics and capturing video. This Tumi portable charger is super sleek and won't ruin your look.

  1. Fanny Pack

Yes, you read that right. We suggest you go ahead and buy a brand new, fashionable fanny pack or equally lightweight and accessible pack to store all your goods for the festival. You can wear this one like a purse or around your waist.

  1. Solar Powered Lantern

When you need  light at night, it's a hassle to always be pulling your phone out of your pocket. Lanterns are well worth the investment, especially when they're solar powered so that you don't have to worry about batteries.

  1. Hat

There are a couple very good reasons to bring a stylish hat with you. The first is sun protection, and the second is on the off chance that you don't have time to shower or your campsite doesn't have shower facilities, because I know no one wants to see the state of my hair after three days of camping. Find a stylish one that you can rock day or night like this one.

  1. Hammock

Perfect for relaxing as well as doubling as a sleeping pad in case you happen to forget that blow-up mattress. Plus, who doesn't look more cool when they're chilling in a hammock in the redwoods?

  1. Raft

Having an inflatable raft can significantly increase the amount of time you'll spend hanging out in the water. And if your destination is a hot one, you'll want to be cooling off as much as possible in-between music events. The bonus to Northern Nights being in the region its in is having access to an awesome lake to lounge and party in.
