If you’re tired of Coachella and you missed out on tickets to Tomorrowland, I have good news because there are other cool festivals happening this summer, and this particular one is in Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Open Air Festival is back for its third edition on the weekend of June 8th and 9th, and they just announced their exciting line-up!
This festival is an incredible opportunity to experience the eclectic Amsterdam nightlife in an amazing outdoor setting at the Gaasperpark, a recreational area surrounded by trees and water on the outskirts of the city. The two-day festival will feature local talents as well as DJs from all over the world spinning everything from house, tech house, disco, hip-hop to electro on seven different stages.
Just like last year, the four main stages will be hosted by Apenkooi, Carnivale, Format and GirlsLoveDJs. They will be supported by newcomers Straf_Werk, Diepzinnig and the new stage Open AIR – BY MTV. The smaller stages will be hosted by PLAK, de Nachtspelen, SFFRMKRS, Chasing the Hihat and Baws.
Artists-wise, expect to be blown-away by electro acts such as Paco Osuna, Joop Junior, Ici Sans Merci and Sandwell District, and house pros like Matthias Tanzmann, The Martinez Brothers, ONNO, tINI, Guti, Sneak, and Cassy. EDM producer Tiga will also perform, as well as Belgian disco-house head Aeroplane and BPitch Control's Ellen Allien.
If you’re planning to stay overnight, you can pitch your own tent at the festival, or you can go all out and take advantage of the Rock ‘n Roll Dream Hotel by Models at Work, debuting this year, an upscale campsite where guests can make themselves comfortable in a tipi for up to 6 people.
Guests can purchase one-day tickets for €39.50, a weekend ticket for €59.50, a camping ticket for €79.50 and a camping ticket including breakfast for €94.50. Tipi tickets can be purchased for €200.00 per person.
